STUDENT COUNCIL MEETING
There will be a Student Council meeting on Tuesday Oct. 21st at 2:15 in Room C9.  All members must attend.
SPIRIT WEEK

As part of Spirit Week the Key Club will be collecting non-perishable foods for the needy in our area. The collection bins will be in the main hallway near the LMC, lets fill them up with mac and cheese, oatmeal, peanut butter, soups, tuna fish and more!  Place your donations in the bin for your class to gain points for Spirit Week!
DECA
There will be a DECA meeting on Tuesday, October 21st.  All are welcome to attend.
GIRL'S LACROSSE
Anyone interested in joining the 2015 Girls Lacrosse team, there will be a meeting held on Thursday October 30th after school in A29.  If you cannot make it please see Ellie Gamache, Hannah Moroney or Tayla Gonslaves for information.  Hope to see you all there!

 
BUS EVACUATION DRILL
All students who ride the AM bus will participate in a bus evacuation drill on Thursday October 23, 2014.

Students will be asked to exit the bus through the rear emergency door.  It is recommended that students dress appropriately for the  drill.  Students should not wear dresses or skirts, but instead wear jeans or pants;  also students should not wear heels or open toe shoes, but wear sneakers or flat shoes.

Your cooperation and respect toward those running the drill is expected.

DRIVER'S ED
The next Driver's Ed. class will begin on Monday November 3 rd  and run through Monday, November 17 th.Students who have been assigned to this class have been notified through their SCHOOL EMAIL. Please check your email as soon as possible to find out if you are in this class.

A list of students (by ID#'s) has been posted in the window of Mrs. Nunes's office and Mrs. St,Pierre's office.  Please check one of these locations for your ID#.  Class will be held from 3:05 until 5:05 PM in Room A27.  Students who are assigned to this class must report directly to Room A27 from their Block 4 class.

Also, students must obtain a copy of the Driver's Manual from the Registry of Motor Vehicles prior to the first day of class.  These can be downloaded from the website at www.massrmv.com or you can pick one up at any branch office of the RMV.


 
MEDICAL CAREERS CLUB
There will be a medical careers club meeting on Tuesday, October 21 st in room B1 right after school.
Dartmouth High Theatre Company
Start spreading the news!  Dartmouth High Theater Company is holding its 2nd  Annual New York City Bus Trip on Saturday, November 22nd.  This trip is a fundraiser which helps offset the cost of each of DHTC's productions,  and so a portion of your ticket will serve as a donation to the theater company.  For information about pricing and other details, please contact Ms. Shirley Guerreiro via email at shirleyguerreiro@dartmouthschools.org, or see one of the DHTC Officers:  Patrick Kitchen, Ally Morrissette, Emma Clune or Troy Dias for a flyer.
SPIRIT WEEK
Spirit week will be held October 20-24. The following themes have been chosen by class officers and advisors for dress up days:
  1. Freshmen: Monday- Animal Day
  2. Sophomores: Tuesday- Camouflage Day
  3. Juniors: Wednesday—Blast from the Past (Roarin’ 20s-1980s)
  4. Seniors: Thursday—Flash Forward 50 Years
  5. Friday—Green and White
Other Spirit Week Notes:
On Friday there will be a homeroom period prior to the pep rally. Students will leave all their belongings in homeroom; teachers will lock the doors. Students will return to homeroom prior to school dismissal.

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, the following rules will be enforced during the week and at the pep rally:
  1. No bags are allowed in the gym during the pep rally. All belongings including books, purses, etc. must be locked in student lockers or in the homeroom.
  2. Students may not wear full face paint or face masks.
  3. Students are not allowed to bring props, signs, or silly string to the pep rally.
  4. Student costumes must be in good taste and not so extravagant as to be disruptive to the educational process or cause safety hazards.
  5. Fall varsity athletes will not enter the stands until after the player introductions.
  • Sports teams who are performing must present their routines to Ms. Desmarais to get approval prior to Friday.
  • Varsity athletes, cheerleaders, and students involved in performances must report to the gym for a run-through on Thursday right after school.
DEBATE TEAM
Anyone interested in joining the DEBATE TEAM we meet every Tuesday night in the C - Planning area from 6:30 - 7:30.  hope  to see you there.
The Friday Reader's Forum
The Friday Reader's Forum meets every Friday for lunch in B02, next to the library. Bring your lunch; dessert is provided. All students are welcome to come and chat about books and more. See Mrs. Zanconato in the LMC for details.
Weight Room Hours
Students interested in working out in the weight room after school should see Mr. Gaffney. Dates and times will posted be on the door each week.
